Goodfellow are a company that supply chemicals and they wanted to create some promotional material for their products, specifically a catalogue application. They wanted it to be an informative app that would not only show all the chemicals they sell, but also explain a bit about each, and the availablilty of each from Goodfellow themselves.

 

Goodfellow wanted a fun way to represent their products, so I decided to use a play on the periodic table. When beginning this project I was already aware that a successful UI existed through Apple's periodic table application.  This gave me the attitute 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it"' and so, following a similar approach, I created an enhanced and more detailed version.

 

When you roll over an individual element, the display at the top changes to show basic details of that element and then, by tapping more info, you are shown more detailed information. This app is still in development and we're hoping for a release date early this year.
