Website Design and Branding
NGS Salt Solutions are one of the biggest providers of road salt in the UK, but also offer a range of luxury and culinary salts.
After speaking to NGS and delivering a solid project brief, we decided that a slight brand refresh, a restructure and redesign of the site would be the way forward. The old site focussed mainly on road salts, but the business was also looking to promote the luxury and culinary salts to put it level with road gritting.
In order to start a redesign for this site, we decided to create a cleaner and fresher brand identity, which came away from the mostly blue and cold wintery feel of the old brand. The palette for the brand kept blue as the base colour, but also was accented with the lime green with various shades of blue, with white as a solid base colour. I created a company mark consisting of just the initials, with 'sustainable salt solutions' becoming the brand message to flow through company.
This informed the design of the website, with a clean and fresh feel, whilst putting each of the product groups into clear sections, marked by each shade of blue, with clickable buttons in lime green for better userbility.
